Training: Mobile Laundry Unit

“Being invisible”

It’s easy to assume that hunger, comfort and the elements are the most difficult struggles for homeless individuals, but time and time again, homeless individuals state that being invisible to others is the greatest struggle.

Be the difference

Join us in partnering with Redeeming Life Ministries as we host the Mobile Laundry Unit at CCG. Join our volunteer team as we warmly welcome homeless individuals. Spend time building relationships, learn their names, learn their stories!

Come, learn how to serve those living in homeless or transitional living situations by being a part of hosting Redeeming Life Ministry’s Mobile Laundry Unit.

Additional Details:

Redeeming Life Ministries and Christ Church Greensboro announce their partnership for this  God-centered project.

The mobile unit offers our friends who are experiencing homelessness a way to do their laundry. Something we take for granted every day.

There are three washers & dryers, which will leave time to spare while folks are waiting for their clothes to be done. In the meantime, we will invite them into the church for coffee, water & donuts.

What a perfect opportunity for us to make new friends and share fellowship with our guests. We can take this time to talk and form new relationships with any who wants to.

This event is this Saturday, 11-10-18 from 9-1. There is a training session for volunteers this Wednesday 11-7-18 from 6:00p –8p.

The training session is not only to learn how the w/d machines work but more importantly to help those of us who may be a little shy walking up to a complete stranger and starting a conversation.

  • Volunteers are needed to make coffee and prepare the water and donuts.
  • Assist people in using the machines (Mercy Ministry is providing volunteers as well )
  •  Folks to talk/pray with our guests.
