The mission of the Children’s Ministry of Christ Church Greensboro is to engage kids with the gospel that they may encounter Jesus and be equipped for service in His kingdom.

We value the beauty, power and authority of God’s word. We believe that we have been entrusted with the wonderful privilege of teaching children the truths of God found in His word, the Bible. We believe that children are capable of comprehending these profound truths at a very early age. We value the role of parents in teaching their children about Jesus. Scripture teaches that parents are called to raise their children in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Therefore we not only want to serve kids, but parents too. We value the importance of a welcoming and secure environment for all children in our care. We understand that adjusting to a new setting can sometimes be difficult for children. Our desire is to help children feel at home as soon as possible. We also take very seriously the importance of providing a safe setting for kids.
Children’s Ministry Programs
NURSERY
Sunday mornings at 9:15 and at 10:30
On Sunday mornings a nursery is available for infants through 2-year-olds. Babies will be diapered, fed and napped according to parents’ instructions. Additionally, toddlers and Pre-K kids are taught simple truths of the Bible through songs, books, pictures and simple activities. Toddlers through 2-year-olds will be offered a snack of Chex cereal and water. Please be sure to clearly label any personal items such as a diaper bag, sippy cup, etc. We have the following nurseries available:
- Infant
- Younger Toddlers
- Older Toddlers
NURSERY DROP OFF / PICK UP SYSTEM
Parents may drop off their child in the nursery beginning 15 minutes before the service. For security reasons, children must be checked in at the Children’s Ministry desk. Each child will be given a name-tag with a security number, and the parent/adult dropping off will receive a coordinating security tag. When it is time to pick the child up, the adult picking up will present the coordinating tag to nursery staff.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH
Sundays during the 10:30 Worship Hour
Children of all ages are welcome in our worship service. Just prior to the sermon, when dismissed, parents may allow their children ages 4 yrs. old through 2nd grade to go to Children’s Church. Children’s Church takes place in a room very close to the sanctuary. During Children’s Church, children enjoy an engaging time with trained leaders using music, a craft and a lesson to teach simple truths from the Bible. Some parents may feel their 3 year old is not ready to attend any of the worship service. In this case the child is welcome in the preschool nursery room during the entire worship service.
KIDS CONNECTION
Sunday Evenings 5-7 pm
On Sunday evenings during the school year we host a ministry for children from birth through 5th grade called Kids Connection. It takes place from 5:00pm until 7:00pm – the same time for Youth Group and Home Groups for Adults. Kids Connection provides a warm atmosphere for kids to be kids! It includes a nursery for the little ones and group activities for the older kids. A typical evening begins with supervised play, followed by dinner, then an age-specific group activity with a Bible lesson. This time is greatly enjoyed by the kids and provides parents an opportunity to attend a home group.
Sunday School
Sunday mornings at 9:15 am
Children ages 3 through 5th grade will have a blast learning about Jesus, God’s Word and what it means to follow the Lord. Age-appropriate, hands-on activities keep kids engaged while trained, loving teachers share fun and relatable Bible stories and truths with the class.
