Cynthia Merchant is our Nursery Coordinator. Cynthia considers it a privilege to serve in this way and brings with her past experience from her previous church.
Here is a brief introduction from Cynthia herself.
“Our car was always filled up taking children to and from church. Helping children and making a difference in their lives has been what I strive to do at all times. A little about me: my husband Tim and I have 2 adult children and three grandkids. My oldest Xavier went on to be with the Lord 10 years ago. For the last 36 years, I have been a Medical Technologist with LabCorp, with the last 22 years serving as the purchasing agent for all supplies for my division. My 15+ years of experience in my previous churches ranged from Secretary to VPS Leader to Basketball Camp Coordinator and Children’s Church Coordinator. My husband and I also provided Free Tutoring for 3 summers for as many as 15 children. Although I do enjoy my job, my biggest joy has been being a mentor to several youth and showing them the love of Christ. I want to assure all parents that each Sunday you can know that we will provide a warm and loving environment in our nursery for your children. I look forward to getting to know each of you and your children better. I’m grateful to the Lord for this opportunity.”
Our nursery is for children age 3 and under. Infants and toddlers may be checked in beginning at 10:15AM and picked up after the service.
